It has been a hell week for me. Preliminaries is now over, yet. I'm doing some time management for myself as of the moment. Academe, personal, social and a lot of stuff. I just do hope, I'll be able to conquer all these things that I'm undergoing through. This is a choice, though. A choice, I know I won't ever regret. Now, since it is a choice, I have to stand and deal with it, with 100 percent determination. :) I can do this.
For now, I can't exactly say what I'm really going through. This is something I should keep in me. A clandestine pleasure and at the same time, a widespread happiness.
“Nobody died, so nothing happened.” This was from Alexandre Kojeve, it sounds very much like of a political judgment. Nevertheless, nowadays, we equate power and politics, so much so that when men or women of power speak out, many people decode this as the expression of a political thought. Considering that on the contrary, politics is the experience of a forensic debate in which individuals come forth and measure themselves against one another in their proponderance, so as better to think about the public interest. Defining politics, then, as a living interrogation and polemic, life of the mind, devious from all inquisitions that can shed light or inspiration on other people as well.
Women and men of power, this to be distinguished from those who would like to make politics as their own lives, have set themselves in opposition to equality. Whatever their personal and acquired talent may have been, their road to sucess was surely made smoother by the support of a family, a friend, a husband, a lover or a clan. People suffer from chaos, from vandalism, and from violence. We suffer from the lack of authority. We suffer from corruption, the absence of initiative, the sloppiness that redoubles an idiosyncratic sadism on the individual, the arrogance of the mafia and the scams of the affluent.
Freedom could be defined as something negative, that is a man’s sovereignty against nature and of God. But for the first time, a positive definition of the freedom of man is advanced, ‘Freedom is an absolute auto-activity, spontaneity and a power of man to determine himself on his own.’ There is no absolute bucking between the affirmation of desire and the fraud of a limit. But on the other hand, one cannot touch base without oneself without revolt. ‘Happiness only exists at the price of revolt.’ The wish to join clandestine pleasure and widespread happiness remains a new idea for each of us. The anarchy of democracy and solidarity has only just begun.
I can do it. I'm Adrienne. And I shall conquer all of these. :)
