THE EXACT LOVE-LIFE EVERYBODY WANTS

“The hardest thing is loving someone and having them encouraged to love you back.”

Last night, I watched the film “The Wedding Date.” And I must admit that this movie so far this summer struck the innermost core of my heart the most. Besides the Michael Bublé songs and some Maroon 5 songs played within the film, the plot itself made me travel along the four chambers of my heart.

This is not a movie review and I will not spoil you with the plot of the story either. Instead, I am aiming to blog about everything that Dermot Mulroney who played the role of Nick in the movie taught. Who is Nick? Well, it is for you to figure it all out. But as of now, all I can say is… Nick is the boy-version that I want myself to be the girl-version of.

It is true that everyone has the exact love-life that he/she wants. And for those who just got their hearts recently broken… for those who believe that they want to be single and miserable for the rest of their lives… ask yourselves! Do you really want to hung-up with the person who led you on for years and then out-of-the-blue just shattered your heart?

But Nick said that 1.) there is no such thing as out-of-the-blue. 2.) when you’re ready to let go… to be UN-single and UN-miserable… YOU WILL. You will know. So stop worrying. Forget the pain. And remember how incredible of a person you are. If you do that, he/she will realize what they have lost.

So cheers to the husbands/wives who will win you, to the losers who have lost you, and to the lucky bastards who’s yet to meet you!

But if you still love him/her, and you know personally that he/she loves you back still… Nick has a word for you too! It’s true that the hardest thing in loving someone is having them encouraged to love you back the way you wanted them to love you. But if he/she knows your shits and you know his/hers too… At the end of the day a part of you would rather give your pride up and TRY AGAIN cause nothing’s ever gonna be worth like it when you go back and get to spend the rest of your life by making up on all the fights and misunderstandings you went through.

Admit it or not, just when you thought that everything is over between the two of you… At the end of the day, 3-out-of-4 of the 4 chambers of your heart makes you realize that you’d rather fight with him/her than spend the rest of your life with someone else. One chamber might insist that you’d rather be alone and not get hurt anymore, but come to think of it… Aren’t you hurting yourself more if you’ll choose not to follow what can make your heart happy?

I say that if he/she is worth fighting for. Take the risk of falling cause if you really believe that he/she still feels the same way about you and both of you already learned your lessons apart, I’m pretty sure that he/she is ready to catch you when you fall together again. So before it’s too late, choose to be UN-single and UN-miserable, and I will not tell you how cause you personally know that deep inside your heart, 3 chambers already tells you what’s the right thing to do.#
